Katja I. Haeuser
I study how people generate expectations during language comprehension, how those expectations change across the lifespan, and how prediction shapes what we subsequently remember.
About
I am a psycholinguist and cognitive psychologist at Saarland University. My research lies at the intersection of language comprehension, memory, and cognitive development across the lifespan.
A central focus of my work is predictive language processing: how comprehenders anticipate upcoming linguistic information, what happens when those expectations are violated, and how prediction influences later memory for what we have — and have not — encountered.
